Hi David, thanks for such a great post. It's such a massive thing to admit to ourselves that we are the reason that the world has gone to ruin, but accepting Jesus as our saviour is so much bigger than that. He overthrows every feeling of ruin and destruction in us so we can be new creations and lights for this dark world. Thanks again for a great post.
Really enjoyed the article David. Thanks to your wife for sharing it.
It’s interesting how as humans we have an allergic reaction to responsibility and accountability, which we see from Gen 3 through the rest of the Biblical text (and my own experience if I’m honest).
I was talking with my kids about it the other night and they asked “well, why did God have to put the tree in the garden anyway?”
I said, “I can’t say for sure. However, let’s say mommy made you a birthday cake and was going to serve it for dinner, but left it on the island. You got impatient and started questioning whether she was ever going to give it to you, so you decided to go eat it all on your own, ruining it for everyone, would that be her fault?”
They immediately piped up absolutely not, recognizing it would be would be the result of their own poor choices.
Somehow, that’s extremely easy to see until we’re the ones eating the cake, justifying our decisions, and looking for someone to blame.
Thank you taking the time to read my post. I appreciate your response and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for reading, Christopher. And thanks for your comment.
I love your back and forth with your kids. And that is a great perspective to have on it. All the best mate.
God is testing out our faith. So there will trials and tribulations just to see how strong your faith is
Very well put bro.
An Insightful read, Looking forward to reading your intake of other topics related to the bible.
